As we continue to shift over all the little graphics and details from MetaManiacs to Maindeck, I’ve been doing a little housework in the Patreon and realized that we had not actually updated the goals for a long time. The previous goals were just kind of thrown in and not really indicative of what I think is interesting or rewarding to our patrons, so I’m posting this public post to inform everyone of our NEW goal, which should be very directly rewarding to all of our Patrons!
New Goal: A Booster Box Full of Patrons!
36 Patrons
When we reach 36 Patrons, all of our first 36 patrons, regardless of tier, will be contacted to opt in to receive a free booster pack of Pokemon Sword & Shield: Brilliant Stars after it releases. We will take an entire box and open it in a special Box Break video, with each pack assigned to a different patron, so you’ll get to see your pulls along with everyone else’s on video!
I chose Pokemon: Brilliant Stars after conferring with some available Patrons in the Discord’s VIP channel. Thanks so much to Adam, James, and Taylor for bouncing some ideas with me! Pokemon Brilliant Stars is a cool set that looks to have some really fun hits that even people who don’t currently play Pokemon will enjoy, Check out the awesome artwork here!
I was inspired to do this by a video from Red Zone Rogue, who has a awesome YT channel for people into Flesh and Blood, Wixoss, soon Grand Archive, and other games that we also love here at Maindeck.
Now, there are a few moving parts to this goal, so I want to make how it works very clear to everyone – and if I fail to catch a scenario, please let me know in the comments!
1. The video/pack opening will not take place until after Pokemon: Brilliant Stars releases in February, even if we meet the goal first. If the goal is not met until later, the box will be purchased and kept sealed until the goal is met.
2. Once we reach 36 Patrons, I will reach out to all of the currently supporting, first 36 Patrons to a) confirm interest in receiving the prize, and b) acquire up-to-date shipping information.
3. In the event that one of the first 36 patrons is not interested in receiving the prize, or I don’t hear back within 72 hours, I will move that pack to the 37th patron, if available. This process will repeat until either a) A patron accepts the prize, or b) There are no more patrons to accept the prize.
4. Once all packs have been assigned, or no more Patrons remain to accept any remaining prize packs, those remaining prize packs will not be opened and will be kept for a future contest.
5. To be very clear, there is no random chance element to this contest. Packs will be assigned based on seniority of patronage, and regardless of patron tier.
6. After the video has been recorded and posted, all pack contents will be securely packaged and mailed to all patrons.
I am really excited to bring this bonus prize to you. The video will be very fun to record and I hope you all enjoy getting to tune in to see what you and your fellow patrons get! If people enjoy this, we will do similar bonus rewards in the future!
